My heart is thumping faster than Thumper's foot in Bambi

We made a somewhat-semi-appointment with the surgeon at the animal clinic.
We're taking my baby bunny for a 'minor' surgery to remove the growth that has been traumatising both mummy (me) and bunny. Nozomi seems unfazed by my endless hugging and "You're going to be fine!! (I won't be)" and continues to nibble at our wooden cupboards -much to the annoyance of everybody in the vicinity- and stare at me blankly as if to say "Oh, shut up". The thought of the slicing and the jabbing that is going to take place while my baby is under the influence of local anaesthetics is kinda nerve wrecking. And I might have to be there to see it all happen. I'm not good with scarlet body fluids. Especially if they're gonna be flowing outta my baby's foot.
Perhaps it is just my imagination working overtime.
Perhaps they'll tell me to get the hell outta the operation room.
Perhaps they'll make a slight incision and pull the damn thing out and 'poof' she's back and hopping.
...
This is scary.Growth and all, Nozomi knows how to strike a pose when we take pictures.
Will update once the surgery is over.
I wonder how minor is 'minor'?
