Watched Gamer with Donovan today.
Expected a not-too-good movie due to reviews but it was better than expected.
It did get slightly boring in the middle and I think the ending was kinda bad.
The beginning was good (and not because Marilyn Manson's Sweet Dreams was the opening song XD). I think they should've explored the concept of Slayer and Society instead of making it a movie based on revenge but that's just my opinion.
And I like how they called the transfer of command to the controlled people and the receiving of the command 'ping'. Like when you're testing to see if your internet connection is working and you type 'ping' and you know how many packets sent, received and lost XD
Society reminded me very much of Second Life and Slayer was similar to the more popular first-person shooter games out there.
And I was getting philosophical about it in my head but I'll save that for another time.
Overall, I enjoyed the geek part of the movie (for example, I salivated over that rich boy's 'computer'.. if that's what computer's are gonna look like in the future, I'm gonna make sure I live a very long time), the action was quite good cause it reminded me of a real game but it kinda dried up the moment he ran away from Slayer and the ending was.. on a low note.
I did enjoy all the cyberpunks, steampunks and cybergoth-ish people I noticed in Society.

Traffic getting worse. It took me 30 minutes for me to get to the next u-turn on the LDP and 45 minutes from that u-turn back to my house. :S
