I'm back from Bon Odori.
Enjoyed myself quite a bit. This time, we didn't do no sweaty dancing in circles, we just sat and ate and laughed a whole lot.
Rye-chan was with us this time (along with our Parfum Extrait, I'm not forgiving you idiots about your little 'joke' lol). My sis, Nee On and Brian (one of their friends) came along too.
You know, one thing I do not like about Bon Odori is the fact that the people don't seem to understand 'DON'T COSPLAY!'. Seriously, everybody takes this cultural festival for some Harajuku occasion. They keep trying to come in all these 'punk lolita' outfits (which by the way is damn lala/tacky). I mean, on forums and stuff they've already been told that 'Don't cosplay, either wear a yukata or wear something decent' and nobody seems to understand. Then, as we were walking, we saw this girl with a yukata half OFF her shoulders. It's not that I found it revolting (unlike this girl I saw), I just thought it looked wrong. VERY wrong in a festival like that.
The one thing I like about Bon Odori is Asahi. I should have worn my shirt with the Asahi logo on it. Lol. That'll give them something to look at.
And Nee On and Brian were taking pictures like there were no tomorrow. I swear, they kept snapping and they kept snapping US in bad moments! There was one where I looked like I was dancing with the bloody fan. -.-
I kept bugging Brian to delete the pictures and I told him I'd forever be in debt to him and..
"Do you have a microphone?"
And I'm all 'O_O Why would I need one?'
"To record that"
-_________-"
I take it he won't delete them.
I'll be so humiliated.
Then there was this picture of all three of us (Rye, SJ and I) standing there doing this totally WRONG Pantene advertisement or something.
-_________-"
I'll try to NOT look out for the pictures.
I'm gonna be very embarassed. LOL.
Lining up for food was ridiculous! There were so much more people this year than last year. Rye-chan wanted takoyaki so we waited in line with her.. 10 minutes later, we told her we'd wait behind cause the line wasn't moving at all.. 5 minutes later and she joined us asking whether she could give up on takoyaki.
We ate some fishball thing, california roll, green tea ice cream coated in chocolate (this was the ultimate yum), Pocari Sweat (Which is really good) and ASAHI! :D
And SJ made this joke as we were buying our beers.. cause the people selling them started to chant/sing 'Asahi' and she was all 'I bet Lyd would be damn freaking happy if they were saying Asagi instead'.
I think those people were drunk on the product they were selling.
And when you put Rye-chan, SJ and I together, we're BOUND to talk about yaoi manga. LOL. Forgive us for reading them but it's entertaining and very very FICTION!
After that, we went to Asia Cafe (not sure why). SJ originally wanted to have a mocha frappe in Starbucks but it didn't happen. SJ~ We'll have our mocha frappe when we watch Harry Potter, okay?
And then now I'm home :D
RayRay couldn't come again this year because this time his friends ditched him.
I told you, you should have come with us.
No Asahi for you this year!
And we've said it again this year and please try to remind us that..
'Next year, we're going in kimonos'
Just in case we forget. Like we did this year. Lol.
At least I didn't TRY to be all 'gothic lolita'. Urgh!
