I read the newspapers at 1AM last night, finally, and read about the whole opening ceremony drama crap.
Honestly, I wasn't bothered over the footsteps being computer generated or pre-recorded (as stated in the news), I was more annoyed over the little girls. That's discrimination! And she's just a little girl. How could you just use her voice and put ANOTHER girl into the limelight just because the one who's really singing is not pretty enough?? I mean, I knew the other little girl was lip-syncing during the opening ceremony but I didn't even think they were using another girl's voice.
And the Chinese dude said they were trying to project the right image. What? The right image for your country is to discriminate a little girl just because she's not your cookie cut 'pretty' girl?
The commentator during the opening ceremony said 'China is doing everything right tonight'. Well, looks like they screwed up.
It's not like anybody's going to look at the 'uglier' girl sing and say 'Damn, she's ugly'. She's not even bad looking. There is no such thing as an ugly kid. They'll most likely be in awe at her voice instead.
Anyway, on a not so annoyed note, I'm quitting work tomorrow :)
I'm happy! Super happy about that. Claireeey won't be, though. I love you, Claireeey.
(Fill me in on the squabbling couple tomorrow, Claireeey Berry Happy Bunny).
What people do not realise is how loud they can be sometimes.
Sitting in our shop, the noise outside is amplified through our small little doorway.
Everybody talking outside, no matter how quiet you think you are, it's still amplified and we hear you loud and clear. SUPER LOUD, in fact.
Couples fighting is even louder.
Next time you walk by FlowerGirl, think again before you talk... cause, sometimes, Claireeey and I reply.. you just can't hear us.
Gonna go finish my virtual jigsaw puzzle.
