First of all, Lydia wants to thank...

Shiao Jeeng, Shakira, Natasha, Christina, Nee On, Leo-chan, Chee Wei (I think that's how you spell it) for coming tonight :D
Secondly, to my Mum and Grandma for preparing the steamboat :D
Thirdly, to everybody for making me laugh till my shoulders hurt now.

Last night was another sleepless night for me. I woke up at around 2AM with sharp pains in my side. After taking the standard medication for stomach complications, I went to sleep on the couch (in case of medical emergencies) and woke up again in about an hour with sharp pains on my other side.
Couldn't sleep after that and when 6AM hit, a wave of nausea hit too.
My Mum came up and saw me drawing and asked me "I thought you said your work was finished!?" and I said "Yeah, it is... my stomach isn't okay..."
Then she looked at me and said "It's been awhile now. I'll take you to see a doctor... meanwhile, eat the papaya in the fridge".
Award for most random piece of advice hereby goes to my MUM.
So, I ate the papaya even though I hate papaya and felt a little better.
She came home after sending my brother to the golf course and took me to a doctor.
Meanwhile, I messaged Claireeey to tell her to pass the message that I won't be turning up today.
The doctor reacted to my pains like I said "I think I have cancer".
Seriously... turns out, it's a wind problem (isn't it always?). I have to stay away from spicy food (no mutton curry??) and anything that doesn't agree with my stomach (no dairy products???)
Then I came home, took my medication and slept... until the cleaner lady came into my room and started slamming into things really loudly.
I then went down to help my Mum prepare the steamboat.
Set the table, clean the utensils, bring out the bowls and plates, peel quail eggs (or as Nee On thinks 'pigeon eggs') etc.
That took a long time, next thing I know, it's 6PM and I took a shower and waited for them to come.

First up was Nut and Shari, who came with Patrick bedroom slippers for me (will snap picture and show soon). Shari named on 'Pat' and the other 'Rick'. (Why's she always naming my presents? Last year, she named one of them 'Bone Daddy')
Second was Nee On, who came with Patchi chocolates for me :D
Third was Leo-chan and my sister followed by SJ (very much later!!) and then by Chris (both of them gave me a nice bangle :) Will wear it)
Somewhere in between, my second sister's friend Chee Wei came... not sure when but it was somewhere between Leo-chan and Chris.

Steamboat was very filling and my Mum was surprised that we managed to eat most of the food.
Nut was dying when we cut the cake. I could see it in her face. Funny shit. Should have taken a picture of her eating the cake.
Shari was relentless with her Lydia Jokes as usual.
SJ was joining Shari as usual.
Nut was constantly loading, hanging and re-booting as usual (MS-DOS)
Nee On was saying things with double meanings as usual (and not realising it).
Leo-chan was too witty as usual.
Things were usual but it was fun :D

After food, I told Nut and Shari that I finally found 'the book' and we went up to see it.
It's amazing how much they have forgotten about the contents of that book.

[I started on a canvas two nights ago... it's not done (drying) but I've already started on my pen and paper work... Claireeey, buck up! We have to prepare for The Exhibition, remember?!]
