Today's presentation was just like any other presentation.
Claire complains about tutor (Today was worse, apparently).
I get cut in the middle of my presentation to be told that my space is toooooooo simple to be appreciated (And me biting my tongue to avoid arguing).
Nut having only ONE presentation board.
Wendy being late.
Thingy being an ass and having one huge ass presentation board.
EXCEPT, today... I think some tutors were going through some hormonal change or something. They seemed extra snappy and from what I've heard, extra bitchy.
I don't understand why we have to design according to their ways or styles. I firmly believe that our time spent in college should be used to experiment and as designers, we each have our own style that we stick to because it's what we are.. but no. In the past three months, I've been squished down into a tiny box and not allowed out or my marks will get cut.
It's really silly cause EVERYBODY says 'Art is subjective. One person's trash may be another's treasure'. Yeah, but it's not applied in our college apparently. In our college 'One person's trash should be another's trash too.'
And some of them are quite... 'rude' during our presentation. Like, me, I got cut halfway through with her tutting and sighing and that irritating thing you do with your tongue that makes an irritating noise. My father used to yell and punish us for doing that irritating thing and I've learned to hate it. And when you're trying to present and the ONLY feedback you're hearing is her tutting and sighing... how do you think you'll feel?
Well, I got annoyed and just did not bother to continue.
So I stopped. And she started. And she continued. And she never ended.
I learned a lesson from Chloe, who went before me, and did not bother arguing because 'fighting for your ideas' does NOT apply to her. She actually yelled at Chloe to 'not argue' when Chloe was only trying to make her see WHY she did it.
Thanks to that lesson, she eventually ended.
And the other one, Claire, poor bunny got the silent treatment during her presentation. From what I heard, she did not even bother looking at Claire while she was presenting and when Claire showed her concept models, she merely glanced at it and continued to look down at her paper and keep writing. How does she expect to grade Claire's presentation if she doesn't even look at her?
I'm not sure if people understand how we feel.
Even Wei Theng and Hui Shan got bad reviews and I'm just like "WHAT?!"
She also interrupted Wei Theng and just like me, Wei Theng just gave up. I find it very rude to interrupt when someone's talking. Whether it's your student or not, someone should not do that.
[And is it me or are the tutors EXTRA friendly to guys ONLY??]
And people say 'Art is easy'. Yeah, up yours.
I was told that my exterior form was 'decorative' and my model looked like a gift box cause it's too square.
Uh, yeah? Our world is lacking space at the moment. Build a damn circle and we'll calculate how much space is lost there.
And look where Art Nouveau is now? And at THAT time, it was considered not practical and was just form without function. Anyway, if I hadn't done that exterior, it will just be a 'glass gift box' to her.
I heard Nut has to re-do her presentation board. (Do you, Nut, do you?)
Venetia and Ai Yee got put down for their presentation board and 'lack of storyline'.
Adeline had the tutor harping on her 'lack of railing'.
All in all, we're glad the fucking thing's over.

My Mum has discovered my pink wig!!!~
(It took me five seconds to find the '~' key. I have forgotten it's location!!)
While in the car today, she said "And I saw something pink in your room??"
And I said, "Huh?"
And she got to the point and said "A pink wig?"
And I said, "Oh, ha ha?"
She found it amusing so it's okay.

I finally played Maksim!!!
After waiting so long. I managed to find Hana's Eyes, Croatian Rhapsody, Still Waters, Amazonic and Exodus.
I've played Hana's Eyes, Still Water and Exodus... and it's super hard but super fun! :D :D
I've been waiting for my stupid project to be over so I can mull over the pieces and figure out how to play them and this afternoon, I finally did!! Hana's Eyes is amazing to play. Seriously, if you're into running semi-quavers and chords with more than four notes (At the same time) this song is just for you! (advertising time).
Actually, almost all his songs are like that.
Still Water is easier in comparison as it isn't as complex as the rest and it's really the easy listening type. I'm trying to get LeeLoos Tune.
I'm about to print Croatian Rhapsody.
Seriously, I have serious love for this guy's music. I have completely shoved aside my love for Gounod...or Rachmaninov.
(Although, I'm still struggling to play Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on Theme of Paganini. Stupid second page)
Music is really my drug.
It was amazing how I went from down in the dumps (after this morning put down) to up in the skies after playing music.
My only fear is I'll have no time for the piano or the guitar or the bass once I start working.
