Just wanted to update the growing number of vocab-subs that my brother and I always randomly create.
You guys probably already know... the sub for 'bitch' is 'beached' (the usual retort for this insult is 'whale').
Just the other day, due to a few events that took place, I told my brother "So now, we cannot say lame anymore cause it's a sensitive thing... we shall now say 'llama'.." (Said with a serious expression)
He stared at me blank and then said "That's very llama"
Yes.. so now lame is llama.
The first appropriate use of this word was when I was supposed to pick my brother up from tuition and he said he'll just walk home so I replied "Alright. Lazy to drive anyway. Walk safe (Not Play Safe). Hahahahaha! Joke of llama proportions!! :D :D".
He replied "Lol cool cool see u at home".
I was insulted. That's all I get for a home-made llama joke?!? No reaction!?
Found out later he was merely ignoring the joke.
Apparently, he read the 'not play safe' part and didn't bother reading the rest of the message. Yes, I am very respected in this house.
I was digging through all my Dir en grey media files (from 1997 - now) and I have discovered a love for R to the Core. Even Filth is beginning to sound nice to me.. although, I'm not that fond of Kyo's singing in it. Listening to my old favourites (Cage, Raison D'etre etc), I've come to realise that I really do like Kyo's shrieking/screaming/squealing/turkey gobble sounds. I do think it just seems so much more natural for him than singing. He sounded like he was trying quite a bit when he was being vocally melodious... shriekingly melodious sounds effortless for him.
And then, I decided that since I pretty much mastered my favourite Cage bass solo 3 years ago, I should learn up the rest of the song.
First of all, Toshiya, hot as he is, is a freak.
Second of all, was there a reason to play so fast? Which train was he catching up with? Which Shinkansen (bullet train)?
I play the first two bars and my fingers just give up.
So I gave up and learned up Incubus' Anna Molly. :) (I believe that's how you spell it. Not a huge fan of Incubus but I like that song)
Next up, I'm gonna be posting lyrics to a song. It isn't sung in the song but narrated by Dennis Hopper.
Fire Coming Out Of A Monkey's Head by Gorillaz :D Kick ass song.
Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain,
there was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived,
their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world,
obscured as it was by great clouds.
Here they played out their peaceful lives,
innocent of the litany of excess and violence that was growing in the world below.
To live in harmony with the spirit of the mountain called Monkey was enough.
Then one day Strangefolk arrived in the town.
They came in camouflage, hidden behind dark glasses, but no one noticed them: they only saw shadows.
You see, without the Truth of the Eyes, the Happyfolk were blind.
Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes
Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home
Jump out from behind them and shoot them in the head
Now everybody dancing the dance of the dead,
the dance of the dead,
the dance of the dead
In time, Strangefolk found their way into the higher reaches of the mountain,
and it was there that they found the caves of unimaginable Sincerity and Beauty.
By chance, they stumbled upon the Place Where All Good Souls Come to Rest.
The Strangefolk, they coveted the jewels in these caves above all things,
and soon they began to mine the mountain, its rich seam fueling the chaos of their own world.
Meanwhile, down in the town, the Happyfolk slept restlessly,
their dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging away at their souls.
Every day, people would wake and stare at the mountain.
Why was it bringing darkness into their lives?
And as the Strangefolk mined deeper and deeper into the mountain,
holes began to appear, bringing with them a cold and bitter wind that chilled the very soul of the monkey.
For the first time, the Happyfolk felt fearful for they knew that soon the Monkey would soon stir from its deep sleep.
And then came a sound. Distant first, it grew into castrophany so immense it could be heard far away in space.
There were no screams. There was no time.
The mountain called Monkey had spoken.
There was only fire.
And then, nothing.
O little town in U.S.A, your time has come to see
There's nothing you believe you want
But where were you when it all came down on me?
Did you call me now?
