I'm a little tired of this already

After all this years, the immunity has been firmly established.
Say what you want.
Like I care.
It'll only fuel the desire to leave even more.
Keep yelling, it's only your vocal chords that'll suffer, not mine.
It makes absolutely no sense to me.

It works!

I'm playing FFVII on my PS emulator. :)
Oh, the fun!
It's been a while, polygon-ish Sephiroth. There's something so nostalgic about playing this old game. It reminds you of how you used to think it was AWESOME.. until Crisis Core came along and dazzled you with it's graphics.

I might attempt at FFVIII (didn't like it cause of the 'love') and even FFIX (which I never bothered to play).
I wonder if the rumours are true. I hope it is.. I really wanna see a remade version of FFVII.
If they could remake FFIV for DS, surely they can do the same for PS3? I would pay 200 bucks per blu-ray nonsense if they would! I WOULD.
But, I wonder if they'll change anything...
I remember being surprised when playing the DS version of FFIV because they kept the old translation of Tellah shouting at Edward (the useless bard).
I guess the moment Tellah shouted "You spoony bard!" in the SNES (was it?) version, it became an instant FF classic. It had to be kept. ("You spoony bard" is like the FF equivalent of the oh-so-famous "All your base are belong to us"... Japanese translations that just didn't make it)
I felt kinda sad for the spoony bard, though.. apparently, he was voted most useless FF character. Uselessness aside, he's quite adorable...-y dumb.
(I wonder how Edge fared in that poll)
I found this extremely cool.
I love Midgar (and is ironically, very similar to my dissertation subject.. oh dear, perhaps I've been playing too much). They had this model made to scale for some anniversary celebration thing. The cool part is sector 6 (the section with the hole in it) was left incomplete because during the first game, sector 6 wasn't completed. In fact, in the game, at the part where you have to reassemble the Midgar model in the Shinra building, you'd notice sector 6 was also incomplete. I am gonna model this on 3DMax one day... just you wait.

Just some really funny and random Star Wars pictures I found.
They know how to make a good joke out of Star Wars, I'll tell ya that.

GP tonight!
Fisichella on pole and Trulli is behind him.
What a surprise.
Honestly, I wonder if Fisichella 'collected dead chickens' to get there. (Translate the words in the ' ' to Chinese to understand)
Hamilton is in 12th position (I think) and Kovaleinen is two spots behind.
Rosberg is somewhere in the middle, I forgot! (He is fifth so often, it scares me)

To kill a Mockingbird

Slash uses a B.C. Rich Mockingbird.
I can die happy.
Many idiots always tell me "Why do you want the Mockingbird? Sound sucks!"...
"Up yours!", I say.
I've wanted one ever since I discovered that that's hide's guitar.. I was 12/13 then. At that age, you don't care what it sounds like, you just wanna get it and rock out like your rock god.
Kerry King (Slayer), Acey Slade (Murderdolls) and Eric Griffin (bass, Murderdolls) uses it.
It doesn't suck.
However, I want mine to look like hide's. As he has been my ultimate idol for a long time, I've always envied his transparent neon yellow one (refer to wishlist on sidebar).
However, if I were to one day lug an electric guitar home, my parents will go crazy on me because they won't understand why I can't just play my brother's Godin. It's not the same.
As it is, my Dad went berserk when I carried my bass home.

For dinner, I decided to contribute a dish to the table.
I found a recipe for Devil's Curry.
Nut always goes on and on about how good it is (her grandmother's.. I don't think I can compare) so I thought I'd try it.
It was good. (It's not self praise)
The family agreed.
The taste was special... :) A good break from the usual curry.

I woke up to news that DJ AM has died.
And to think that he just survived that plane crash with Travis Barker.
Cheated death once and yet, he was found apparently, in an overdosed state.
Can't cheat the long hand of the Psychopomps twice.
(Psychopomps is what they call beings like the Grim Reaper.. it's funny so I use that instead)
Sometimes, when it's just your time, it is. Like that lady who survived the Air France crash by missing her plane.. she died in a car accident a few days later. How scary is that.
(Very scary if you watched Final Destination.. oh my Gackt!)

My favourite Gregorian.. that I always just assumed to be monks.. aren't monks.
They are professionally trained classical singers.
In robes.
There goes my dream of running off into the mountains and becoming a monk (under false pretenses for I am a female being) just to learn how to chant.
I told my Mum how upset I am that I can no longer run off and join a monastery.. she tutted at me and continued her work.
Nobody supports my monastic dreams.
However, they do sing Greensleeves divinely! Their voices are so heavenly.. that's why I thought they were monks.

Somehow, with Claireeey, conversations always switch to Malay.
We speak Malay to each other more than we speak English, I think.

As much as I love...

... yaoi.
Sometimes, it gets scary when you download..
Why?

Any Form of Love by Oumi Shinano
- Genre(s): Drama, Yaoi, Incest, Rape, Rape, Win

Note how the word 'rape' that comes after the word 'incest' repeats twice? As if we didn't understand the first time, here it is the second time!
And it ends with the word 'Win'. WIN?!
-.-
Japanese mangakas are scary sometimes. How do they come up with such things?
*shiver*

No wonder! (Weekly Ai no Kusabi post.. or rather, daily)

It's now no wonder why I melt into a pile of goo everytime I hear Iason Mink speak.
It was the same voice actor as D! (Vampire Hunter D)
Note : I said 'was'
Unfortunately, he has passed.
*cries*
The new voice actor for Iason is Ohkawa Toru (I think it should be romanised as Ookawa but since that is the romanisation that's used everywhere, I'll use it too). He played Rufus in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.. *hehe yay!* <- I have a special, annoying and slightly pervy way of saying this.. if you know it, read it in that way.
Seki Toshihiko is being replaced by Itou Kentarou... and this is brilliant, this dude played Hiroki Kamijou. Recognise the name? Hiro-san! Junjou!
Miki Shinichirou is Katze.. he also played like practically every other character you've seen on your anime screens.
Gai's voice is another Junjou cast member.. the voice of Usami Haruhiko (Usagi-ani!), Toriumi Kousuke. (His surname is the combination of 'bird' and 'sea'.. nice)
Yes... I realised this is ALL old news but I finally realised that there was that section on the official website and decided to read it.
I really can't wait.. when exactly is fall?
*prays... please come now*
I never knew this but Hayami Sho played Raoul.. Hayami Sho also voiced (and sang) Nanjo Koji from Bronze and Zetsuai. *repeat hehe yay!*
[I won't talk about how they look like in real life.. it doesn't matter.. their voices are amazing]

My ISOs are downloading very slow. Streamyx sucks arse.

At the crack of thunder...

...RM190.90 was blown up.
Stupid modem.

My back is broken.
Honestly. It hurts so bad now.. I sat in the massage chair all through dinner.

Last night was.. urgh. I slept at 4AM. I was kept awake and alert through the night thanks to mosquitoes and an aching stomach.
Then I had to wake up at 7AM, get ready and send my brother for his 'undang' test at 8AM. I hung around for an hour and a half sitting in some 'warong' nearby and drinking Milo and driving to the nearby art store and buying me some much needed pencils.
Finally, his test finished and we could go home where Ivan's face practically called out to me to go back to sleep but I resisted and instead got ready for lunch.
Geek Session #2 with Rye-chan in Pyramid's McDonalds.
Again, two girls, in black, sitting in a dark corner chatting and laughing over game consoles.
Geeks 'r' Us.
We chose a dark corner because we took one look at the sunlight and nearly died.
In fact, halfway through, Rye-chan looked over and asked "I wonder how those people can stand the light?"... Rye-chan, not everyone is like us.
We finished at about 3:30PM and I went home to send my brother to Tropicana for his golf. Then I rushed to Ikano to pick up my sister's dry cleaning. She's in Korea, she doesn't need to know I forgot to pick it up yesterday. (She'll find out upon reading this when she returns.. crap)
Jammed my way back for an hour.. and my house is a 5 minute drive from Ikano.
Arrived home, dealed with dinner, sat down a little to chill and then my brother called saying "I'm bored already" so I had to pick him up. He hopped in and I said "Are you okay with tagging along while I go get a modem?" He said "Okay" so we jammed our way there.
Bought the modem and rushed our way out of there. That place is HELL after work. He and I bought burgers and came home.

Modem is fixed and ready to go.
Oh, Rye-chan, this is the picture...

That's art for the Dracula character. Trust me, he looked very different in the game.
The detail on the gold areas of his suit is very cool.
Alucard is hot. I'll post that another day.. hahaha.

Rye-chan also showed me two artbooks today. One of which came with a very not safe for work poster. She opened it up and flashed it briefly. Eventhough it was brief, if anybody were to be looking over, they would've definitely saw what was not safe about it.
Very pretty art.. I was matching up semes and ukes. Very fun XD
Then it was another fun round of Sephiroth! :D
Ooooh, he is so hot! I've said it once and I'll say it again, if all men looked like that, our problems will be over.

Need to go continue my ISO downloading.

Another reason to buy the PS3

As if Final Fantasy XIII, Devil May Cry and a possible remake of Final Fantasy VII isn't reason enough, I read this...

Castlevania : Lord's of Shadow

The setting of Lords of Shadow is during "the end of days". The Earth's alliance with the Heavens has been threatened by a malevolent force known as the Lords of Shadow. The souls of the deceased and evil creatures inhabit the dying land, and attack living people.

Arghhh!! New Castlevania game!!

And let me tell you, the Lady of the Forest looks crazy cool.
The trailer is crazier than cool! I'm so excited now and I don't even have the bloody PS3!
My brother and I have shook hands on this.. after next year's Chinese New Year, we're splitting it half and buying that damn PS3!
Then I discovered an old picture of the Belmont family that I saved ages ago.
They chucked the two characters that I really like on the side.. I can hardly see the red-headed one. (I do not know his name..)

Wheee~ :D I actually kinda like the Templar knight looking one (middle) but the lack of whip on his arm makes the others look cooler. Yes, whip. It's the holy whip XD or so I think.. to defeat the vampiric villain... things sound so much cooler in-game than in-blog.
(I know the games they were in, I don't know their names)
[The chicken scratches that I did actually read 'kono futari'.. ]
I also like that Juste Belmont went into Dracula's castle to save two girls and one of them is called "Lydie". I like to think it's just a typo and they really meant 'a' instead of 'e'. :)

And http://www.ainokusabi.jp/ has updated their character section.
They have coloured pictures of Riki and Iason :D Finally. I have stared at their pencil sketches for too long. Riki looks so much better than the '92 version.. Iason's hotness remains to be seen in that picture.

I cannot wait!!

Snails!
I'm being such a geek! There's more where this came from.

Some fluff

She has a dent on her forehead.

All new and wrong

I'm finally back online.
Some thing's are screwed up but that's just something I gotta get used to.
(This window for example)
On the other hand, I can now use Windows Live Messenger. Something that I haven't been able to use for almost a year. :) Everything looks so different. I can't get used to it.

I wonder if the victim is free for me to drag to Low Yat Plaza tomorrow.
Apparently, SJ is also looking for a tablet because her tutor told her that she should get one for her minor subject. Hmm, she is looking for the alternative brand because it's cheaper.. yes, but is it pretty? (Lol. Just kidding).
I asked the guy at the computer shop today "Do you have the new Cintiq?"
He gave me such a blank look.. I've never seen a more vacant expression in my life.
I've been spending so much time at the computer shop that I won't be surprised if they roll out a chair for me the next time I arrive.

It's an Error 769

Which means my internet card (or whatever the HECK it is at the moment) is not being recognised or acknowledged by my computer.
Which, in other words mean I can't come online until I fix it's technologically errored arse.
Dang it.
According the Microsoft's Help and Support site, my internet card is not turned on after apparently, upgrading.
Upgrading? I didn't realise I upgraded software. I just remembered reformatting the damn thing.
Whatever. I hope this works.

Meanwhile, I have received my pay :D
RM200
Yippedy-doo-dah!
Oh, the new Cintiq caught my eye yesterday.
RM4300+. Holy crap.

I found someone willing...

... to tag with me to Digital Mall without complains.
My brother. :) It's good to have 4 years on somebody.

I wanted to go there to buy software.
I remembered drawing on this software we had on our first computer (The OLD Apple Macintosh.. back when it was really Macintosh and not just Mac) called Corel Draw.
I discovered since then (it's been probably 10-13 years) they have had many many new programs to use and enjoy.
One of them is called Corel Painter and the other is Corel Painter Sketch Pad.
Now, this Sketch Pad is crazy cool.
It is "designed to leverage the natural flow of a drawing tablet"..
It has a pencil, watercolour brush, acrylic brush, oil brush, marker, chalk, airbrush, eraser, blender, inking pen, pen and a wide variety of art paper to choose from for your surface.
:D And it's all in a VERY neat looking window (Dare I say, neater than Photoshop! Because when you have almost every tool bar open, Photoshop is NOT neat).
I feel like a kid on Christmas.
The best part, unlike Photoshop, you don't have to move the tool windows when it is in your way, the moment you roll over the tool windows while rendering, it disappears. Yes!
(When I compare to Photoshop, note that I'm only comparing colouring using Sketch Pad and Photoshop.. Photoshop is still good for fixing up pictures)
I was extremely happy upon discovering that.
Of course, there is it's down sides.. hard to explain it but if you are familiar with the REAL drawing instruments, it just ain't the same. For example, the marker, the oil brush and the watercolour brush, in my opinion.
I really like the pen and chalk.
I'll let you know about Corel Painter 11 when I try it out.
Currently can't install it. I think my computer needs reformatting.

Currently...

... in love with Amethystium's album Isabliss.. and also... .. the cover art for the album.
That is one great tree. I saw the 'road' leading into the tree and started to imagine what it must look like under those clouds. :)
And I love the tracknames too..
A Small Adventure, La Pluie, Treasure, Unbounded, Anthemoessa, Automne, Strangely Beautiful, Frosty Morning Blues, Silken Twine, Dreamlike Insomnia and Elegy.
I really like 'Silken Twine' and 'Dreamlike Insomnia'.
I just love music that make me see different things in my imagination.
Somehow with Silken Twine, I see an abandoned area.. with a playground.. and balloons.
I like balloons.

"What do you like, usually?"
"Heavy metal.."
"Oh? Which is the heaviest? Steel?"
"...?"

[I saw a video of Yoshitaka Amano doing a demonstration yesterday. He drew Sephiroth using black ink and a paint brush (Note: He only used one) under 4 minutes. Holy Snails, that was amazing]

Was driving home and...

... I saw this on the back of someone's car.
Loud and proud, honey! :D
I'm not sure if it's a common occurence here in this country but I have never seen it before... on a car, I mean.
Yay for pride :)

Hehehehe...

... I wonder if I should download a Pokemon game for my DS. Is there any? I feel like playing again.. or maybe I should just start up my old GameBoys.
I still want the GBA and the GameBoy SP.
The SP was my goal until Donovan appeared online and said "Have you seen the DS?!"
Then all the goals changed. How many years ago was that?
It's been such a long time!

"Oy, wanna follow me to the bookstore?"
"What for?"
"I need an eraser"
"..."
"What?"
"That's IT?"
"Yeah...."
"GO YOURSELF"
"Sheesh"

I also wanna go to Low Yat.
I wonder if anybody will follow me without complain.
*hinting*

My baby hates her medication.
Like she has a choice.
I do wish she'd stop trying to spill it all on me, though.
Makes life so hard.

The 'thump' is safe!

The baby is back from the clinic with a bandaged paw and medication.
She's slightly traumatised and I think she is very angry at me for allowing an unknown man to cut into her paw. Not that she'll know what he did since she was sedated.
Although she seemed relieved to meet us at first, the relief slowly turned into slight anger. She pawed at me.. although, her paw is bandaged so there was no damage. Hah!
Anyway, I'm glad it's over and done with.

I woke up at an unGodly hour last night.
4AM and I found myself downstairs rummaging the drawers for stomach medication.
Couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to amuse myself with sketching.
Yeah, sketch my arse. Somehow, I couldn't sketch what I wanted and it got so frustrating! So I gave up (quitter) and tried to sleep.
Well, I didn't sleep in the end because I was up at 7 something AM making breakfast for me and my Mum.
Then my Dad dragged us to a place near Bukit Aman to eat what he claims to be the 'best nasi lemak in the world'. It was good. Very good.
But it made my stomach worse.
And they had no beef. :(

Came back from that, sent baby off to clinic, had bak kut teh for dinner (YUM) and sent my sister off to KLSentral to jet off to KLIA. ARGH! I forgot to write her the name of that movie I wanted. Snails!

I needa sleep.

My heart is thumping faster than Thumper's foot in Bambi

We made a somewhat-semi-appointment with the surgeon at the animal clinic.
We're taking my baby bunny for a 'minor' surgery to remove the growth that has been traumatising both mummy (me) and bunny. Nozomi seems unfazed by my endless hugging and "You're going to be fine!! (I won't be)" and continues to nibble at our wooden cupboards -much to the annoyance of everybody in the vicinity- and stare at me blankly as if to say "Oh, shut up". The thought of the slicing and the jabbing that is going to take place while my baby is under the influence of local anaesthetics is kinda nerve wrecking. And I might have to be there to see it all happen. I'm not good with scarlet body fluids. Especially if they're gonna be flowing outta my baby's foot.
Perhaps it is just my imagination working overtime.
Perhaps they'll tell me to get the hell outta the operation room.
Perhaps they'll make a slight incision and pull the damn thing out and 'poof' she's back and hopping.
...
This is scary.Growth and all, Nozomi knows how to strike a pose when we take pictures.
Will update once the surgery is over.
I wonder how minor is 'minor'?

I haven't heard good rock in a long time.
I've been flooding my ears with new age music.. which is good, don't get me wrong.
Hmm.. time to pop some on. :D
I am not tired of Marilyn Manson but my speakers are. They keep dying!
I'm not gonna buy new speakers! Wacom! Will wait until I get my pay!
Speaking of music, does anybody have Deine Lakaien's Mind Machine? I really like that song but I can't find it!

Trying to re-install Final Fantasy into my computer.
Why is it so hard to FINISH one game, that's what I'd like to know.
To date, I don't believe I've ever finished a game to the end.
Hmm.. maybe just a few.
Like Pokemon.. do you know how long ago that was?
Too many distractions.
Not good.

I have not heard A7X in so long!
:D Bat Country is still so awesome.

I visited Lelong.com.my to see if I could find any gadgets I want that MIGHT be going for a reasonable price.
Reasonable, my ARSE.
Excuse me but I'm going to be speaking in broken English.
"Dah la they kata LELONG then they pegi price it SO MAHAL!"
< /broken english >
Hmph! May as well buy a new one.
There are too many gadgets I want.
*sigh*

I feel like a snake.

Distractions lead to frustrations

While working, SJ asked me "Can you help me draw a gothic spaceship?"
My respond was "WHY GOTHIC?"
Apparently, they had to choose.
(Note: Gothic as in the gothic period in art not your modern day Victorian vampires)
[Would've been easier if it was the latter.. I'll just splatter some blood and carve crosses]
Anyway, I attempted at it today.
It kinda started out as a moving city...
And then it slowly became a stagnant ruined city...
And then I drew an angel... (as a statue, initially)
And then I drew a demon... (to counter the angel)
A flame sword here, some wings there...
And all of a sudden! it's a battle scene!
By the time I got out of my excitement (which is usually how I am when I'm engrossed in drawing) I realised I got SO sidetracked, the original point of the picture was ruined.
Gah! I am proud of my ruined gothic chapel, though.
I'm staring at it with mixed feelings now.
Hmm, why is the angel hiding between the towers?

Sometimes shorts speak louder than long films

I watched Patrick Hugues' Signs (a short film) because Gary sent me a message over Facebook.
It was undeniably cute/adorable/lovable/etc.
It was short with a simple message.
If you watch it, you will definitely understand what the director is trying to say.
The man is goofy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAMm0Ggwdfw&feature=related

Then I was watching the short films over at 15Malaysia's website.
Yasmin Ahmad's Chocolate was full of the usual essence that makes up all her work. It was very sweet, direct and simple.
Simplicity is best, huh.
Ho Yuhang's Potong Saga was described as a laugh-out-loud film. I did laugh out loud when he got circumcised and the doctor said "Aiyah! I forgot to tell you not to wear tight jeans" and then he couldn't get on his bike because... you know!
If it was me lying on that bed, I'd go "HOLY CRAP"
Watch both films www.15malaysia.com
I like the concept of the project. I think the others aren't out yet. Only this two.

I love M.C. Escher and LEGO.. even more when they're together

Check out how he did it http://www.andrewlipson.com/escher/ascending.html

Good night.

I want eggs

I really liked these centrepieces. Some people actually took them home.
I should've snagged one for myself.

Physical complaints

My previously non-existant muscles have made their debut today in the form of pain.
Oh, the pain! Snails!
If they weren't hurting the way they are now, I wouldn't have known how my limbs move.
A brief round-up of what I did during my period of cyber disappearance.

1. Net died on Friday. Played games the whole day on Saturday after making a report/complaint to the TM people.
2. Went to KLCC (the convention centre not the mall) to set up for the Sekalung Budi event on Sunday. Came home by 8PM which surprised me.
3. Again to KLCC to continue work at 10AM. Worked till 2 something AM. Craved lamb kebab and 'daging panggang' the entire time because I was located in front of the food.
4. SJ and I went laughter crazy after 12AM. Not too sure if it was the hunger or the fatigue that set us off but SJ was laughing really loudly and the foreign workers were imitating her at every corner. Nut then sent me home. Took a wrong turn on the way home.
5. Woke up this afternoon at 1:44PM because my Mum called asking "You want wantan mee?!" I said "Yeaaaaaaaah" then she asked "Small, medium, big?" and I replied "Medium" and she concluded "Okay then wake up NOW. I'm on my way home".

Wantan mee = one tonne mee.
Not my joke.. my brother said that one day saying he ate ALOT because he ate one tonne mee.
Yes, he isn't the funniest vine on the fence. I'm sorry.

I can't bend my knees and ankles.
I'm walking like a zombie-fied penguin.

And something surprisingly coincidental happened yesterday night.
We were talking to some dude and I mentioned the word 'rally' and he asked me who my Dad was and I told him and all of a sudden he was describing the location of my old house.
Surprising.
He could even mention the place my Dad used to work at.
Turns out, he's the son of an old pal of my Dad.
I knew that that pal's daughter married someone in Nut's family but I didn't know she had a brother.
And apparently, he was there at the 2001 Malacca rally... and I don't remember! I was too busy learning how to photostat forms in the secretariat. I was only 12/13 years old.
I kinda miss those rally days.

It feels good to be online.
Pictures later! I might go back to sleep.
(I have a goofy picture of SJ and Nut doing the <3 thing with their hands)

The going was good...

... until I effed up the bloody curtain.
I've pretty much given up...

... until I get over the fact that I couldn't colour a simple curtain.

I'm gonna go re-watch Blade Runner and re-read all my favourite manga.

I really wanna...

... go to the Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Con!
The artists that are gonna be there are amazing. I really wanna see their stuff up close.
Grrr.. grrr..
And they're gonna be screening Green Lantern : First Flight! All the more reason to go!
I commit one of the seven deadly sins whenever I see talented people. Envy!
It begins tomorrow and ends on Sunday.
*sigh*

There is a hole in my lozenge. Hmm, suspicious.
My tongue is getting caught in it.
Not a comfortable suck (pun not intended.. *snicker*)

I know I said I either want the Wacom Intuos4 or the BambooFun.. but at the moment the DTI-520/LO-C is looking PRETTY tempting. It's RM1353. T_T It's like a touch-screen monitor!
The A5 size for the BambooFun is RM699.
The Intuos4 small is RM899.
Ah. Expensive temptations.
(Considering my current monetary situation, the BambooFun looks more interesting but the Intuos4 is so pretty.. Yes, I buy things that look pretty. Not pretty, not tempting, yes?)

Gonna be working this weekend with Nut for some event at the KL Convention Centre. Midnight set-up again, I think. I wonder how much this stint is gonna be contributing to my 'Buy Me A Wacom Now Fund'.

Rye-chan~ Totally Captivated has a doujin! 62 pages more of Mookyul and Fox Jung! Yes~!
It's called Totally Spying on Them. It's FULL of yaoi action (if you know what I mean hahahaha) and this time, no old man to disturb them :D!

Yesterday, my Dad asked me "Don't you want to be a stand-up comedian?", I said "No"
My second sister has asked me that before. The answer is still "No". I won't make a good comedian, I'd be too busy wondering if they got the joke or if they're just laughing at me and not with me.
Anyway, I'm not funny at all!
Speaking of funny, my sister told me to watch this Singaporean stand-up yesterday. It's this guy, Kumar, in drag. Oh, HILARITY! YouTube him! He's/She's so funny~! I like the part where he/she said that he's/she's gonna 'tekan' his/her own race (Indians) first, then the Malays, then the Chinese... the Ang Mou don't need to 'tekan' cause they're already a joke. (Hey, it's a joke). I replayed that part so many times.. my face was permanently like this "XD" throughout the entire video. The merlion part was also hilarious. Oh, hell, the entire video was hilarious.

Ow, I missed my nose. I hit my cheek instead.
Ow.
I think I'm falling sick :S

Ayumi Kasai.
A great blend of traditional Japanese art with the more current trend of manga/anime illustrations and something more.
The feeling I get from her works is the same as the ones I get from Yoshitaka Amano.
I was instantly captivated with her illustrations.. and shall now go look for her artbook.
The attention to detail in that picture above scares me.
It tells me I have so much more to learn.

I know I said that I'll never say this but I cannot hold it in any longer!
Thank God I never said "I won't say it in binary"

01001001 01000001 01001101 01000010 01001111 01010010 01000101 01000100 (!!!)

Aaaaaah!

I may have gotten one letter or two wrong. Not too sure.

You know how The Star has this section where people send in pictures of the bizarre, weird, bad etc. and it gets published and the best one wins a cash prize?
Yeah, I'm gonna be talking about that.
Today, somebody submitted a picture of this huge billboard that was rented out solely for the purpose of recovering two lost dogs. And the caption was '404 not found'.
My Mum called me over and said that she does not get it.
I read it and the last three digits of the phone number that was listed was '404'. Which, if you come to think about it, isn't a very good number to have when you're trying to recover a lost something.
So I told my Mum what it meant and was thinking to myself that the guy/girl who took the picture must've been quite a geek to have noticed it because most people would just glance and not think about it being '404 not found'.
Then it occured to me that I got it without even thinking about it.
Snails!
(If you did not get it.. "Error 404 not found" is what you see when the page you're trying to view online cannot be found)

Last night, the elves at Qikipedia tweeted that the bacteria found on smelly feet is also found in blue cheese. (I like the elves for my daily dose of weird trivia)
I will never be able to watch my Dad eat his favourite blue cheese the same way again.
Then they continued with "In France, stinky cheese is known as 'God's Feet' ".
Like I told my Mum "Heavenly but smelly"
Would that be considered a form of heresy or blasphemy? To say that God has smelly feet?
It doesn't matter to me, I've never liked blue cheese anyway.
My brother REALLY loves blue cheese and peanut butter sandwiches. (If I'm not mistaken that's the combination)

01000101 01010111 01010111 01010111
(That's binary for "EWWW")
Don't mind me. I finally managed to get the ways of this binary thing.
I may forget it tomorrow.
I've been reading about it since yesterday. I finally managed to understand it *checks time* 5 minutes ago.

Defeating the Dark Elf in FFIV took a long time.
I finally managed to figure out yesterday that using Tellah's Firaga against it won't eat up all of Tellah's MP. Instead, he had enough MP to attack using Firaga twice which ultimately killed the Dark Elf.
Now, the blue and red dogs are killing me in the tower.
FFVII is so much easier! (Maybe cause I had much more patience then)

I've hit the motherload~

(Post has nothing to do with title)

In the midst of colouring Asami and Takaba.
I reckon I'd be spending alot of time on these two cause I'm no longer experimenting.

I learned something really interesting from my book the other day.
The guy said "S'nails!" and I was thinking "snails?"
Turns out, it stood for "by God's nails".
Snails! Speaking English in the 16th century must've been a tongue twister.. or maybe it was just theater English. I don't know!

The other day, my speakers were, as usual, blaring my music loud and clear for the world to hear and above the din, my Dad yelled "What sort of music is she listening to?!"
So I payed attention to what was playing and it was the Gregorian chants (you know I love them monks). I yelled down "It's the monks!!"
He loudly replied "MONKS!?"
I said "YEAP"
He said "You like that type of music?!"
Aaah, there's alot of music genres that I like that he doesn't know about!
I made it a point to tell him that they ain't no satanic monks.
Just in case Christian morals come blaring out above my speakers.

I haven't started putting in the shadows and highlights and I already have 15 layers. Hmm, this is gonna be confusing.
I see the remainder of my day.. colouring hair.
Would you believe, I almost finished colouring an entire chapter of Horror Collector?
Hahahaha~ I didn't notice myself.. until I realised I was actually reading an entire story while I was looking back at all that I've done.

Suffering withdrawal symptoms

Arrived home from Ipoh and the first thing I did was switch on my computer.
Before I left for Ipoh, I re-read the extra chapter for Naked Truth and saw a very pretty picture that I wanted to colour. So I arrived home, switched on my computer and started clearing up the grey :D Unfortunately, the whole picture is grey :(
Wondering how to do Asami's eyes though.
Aaaaaah, Asami. I cannot wait for the next chapter to be released.

When we arrived in Ipoh on Saturday (the day of my grandma's birthday) I spotted 5 cases of Carlsberg and I told my Dad "Oo-er, I saw 5 cases of beer! 24x5 is what?" and my Dad said "Not enough".
Nice.
This year, they bought more "siew yoke" than last year and everybody got to eat ALOT of pork :D Last year, there wasn't enough and the "siew yoke" left the table before anybody arrived at the table.
Unfortunately, as always in Ipoh, I overate. :S

Feel like playing a puzzle game.. My mind actually feels idle.
It's been awhile since I've sat here without using my brain.

Off to pack.. I'll have to wait another two days to complete the picture. It's somewhat complete.. just have to fix up the faces a little.

Wondering how to lug my big camera along...

In the midst of colouring

La la la~ I've been told I spend too much time on the computer.
In my attempt to justify the amount of time I spend on this machine, here.

It started as another pretty picture by the author of Model, Lee So-Young.
(A picture I liked but couldn't be arsed enough to clean it up previously)
I was arsed enough last night and cleaned up all the grey areas. Made the lines blacker and began colouring. I stopped at the hair.. seemed like alot of trouble.
Right now, I am shading in her hair. Alot of work. Many things to do, lemme count the layers!
Stupidly enough, I was stuck at his nails for awhile because I was thinking about the 'SHADOWS'. I didn't occur to me until about 2 minutes later that black nails usually only have highlights and not shadows.

Shit, looking at it now, I made a mistake with the hair!! I coloured some of his hair as hers. Oh screw it. And his skin colour is too yellow. Right, needa change!

I need to pack again.
I really do hate packing.

:( <- This emoticon reminds me of my Duckie whenever I pulled her beak up except that she looked more like :( this.

Ah-hah!

While experimenting with Photoshop yesterday in my bid to try out Rye-chan's colouring, I discovered another way to colour which is way tougher than both of our initial ways.
It's fun because I can do shadow and highlights.
However, it is tough, time consuming and quite a pain in the ass really.
Especially when you reach the hair.

Twitter is not loading for me.
The site is not showing up, I mean.

Gonna go back to colouring in rose petals. What fun pain :D Lol!

Leaving for Ipoh tomorrow. No computer for a two days! T_T

Rye-chan

You really don't have the tool.

Really big picture post.

The first tent that we completed in Pahang. This was the night before the event. Those who had seen Nut's picture will notice that it looks exactly the same, except with different lighting. That's cause she was standing right next to me.
The second tent was only completed the day of the event. Understand the stress?
This is Nut. We were resting, either before or after we completed the second tent.
Some dude who discovered an ingenious way to rest. It's a hammock made out of the cloth that was used for the roof.
Rye-chan geeking away with my DS. I was with her PSP. I wish somebody was there to take our picture cause it was quite amusing.
Rye-chan does not know that I actually snapped a picture of a shirtless Sephiroth cause she went off to the bathroom. I sat there turning him round and round until she returned. Lol! Rye-chan, I even snapped him shining, and the ones with his clothes on :D If a real man looked like that, all our problems will be solved.

So, as you can tell, I met up with Rye-chan today.
We sat there being geek extraordinaires. The first thing we did was mess around with Photoshop where I tried to teach her my way of colouring and she taught me her way of colouring (I'm gonna try it :) Oh, Rye-chan, I'll try to screen cap my Photoshop and show you the tool icon so maybe if you find it you can try). Then we talked about yaoi manga (as usual) for a bit.. which went on to yaoi games and manga in general. Then we decided to start playing and we sat there playing games till she had to go home.
Dissidia is SO FUN. And I swear, the voice actors for all the characters are so hot (voice-wise, they never look good in person). Cecil (FFIV) was awesome! I was so happy to see him. Then there was that jock-strap guy.. what was his name again, Rye-chan? I forgot. The game is really awesome and this has added to my dilemma.
Wacom, DSi OR PSP?!
As usual, when talking about FFIV, I complained about the Bard. Do you remember the Bard? The one I got so angry at when playing? Yes. I am still complaining. Stupid arse can't do anything besides playing his songs.

We might be meeting again soon to continue where we left off. I am still waiting to meet Sephiroth in a battle :D I might not be able to kill him... because I couldn't kill him in the first FFVII game. And it's not because I was too weak.. I didn't want to :( It'll make me so sad to kill off such a cool character (which is why I'm still not done with the game hahahahaha).

:S I think I had too much Hazelnut Chocolate. Lol!
That's my Starbucks drink. As you know, my weak stomach cannot take coffee. Which is sad because I really like coffee.

T_T I think I dropped a piece of paper with a few of my sketches on it in Starbucks.

Oof, pain.

Now to blog about Pahang.
Nothing much happened besides the shortage of chairs, the confusion that was the chair covers and the never ending walking.
I'll summarize it all.
  • After two days of eating spicy food, I've had it.. I was crying out for Chinese food at the end of the first day and if people know me, it isn't what I usually like to eat. I would've even accepted asam laksa if the had it.
  • The biri-biri were my only source of entertainment and they stink.
  • Nut is a (bed) space invader... but I believe Ivan's rattling helped even out the score.
  • The room we stayed in had this air-sanitizer nonsense that released this unbelievably strong floral scent every 15 minutes or so. I thought our room was inhabited by a pontianak the first time I smelled it.
  • The event took place on what looked like a wasteland.
  • I don't think I saw more than 10 people in that town the entire time.
  • The dude everybody was waiting on takes forever to walk, talk and eat.

Glad to be home.
Yes, I'm complaining.. but it was an experience. Definitely.
(Ivan is glad to be home too)
My Dad said "YOU BROUGHT IT ALONG?!" (In reference to Ivan)
My shoulders ache from the carrying of chairs. All these incompetant people couldn't put up the chairs the night before and that resulted in many tables without chairs the next day.
I came home and was all "I'm so tired!" and the first thing my Dad said to me wasn't "Welcome home" (which would've been more welcomed than what he said) nor was it "I missed you" or any of that crap. It was "You look dirty".
Gee, ya think?

Tomorrow meeting Rye-chan for our many hours of consecutive game playing.
Sephiroth! :D
Oy, make sure your console is charged up and ready to go.. if it isn't, bring charger! Lol!

I read in the news that the DSi has a new feature which allows you to update your Facebook profile picture through your DSi! Apparently, you can snap your pictures and upload it from your console! I'm so excited. I want the DSi now!!! Wacom or DSi?

Hello civilization!

Currently, the letter between 'F' and 'H' on my keyboard is not workin so I'll be usin a '*' instead :)

Funny conversation with Rye-chan...

I don't like packing

I googled 'Pekan Pahang'.
And saw lakes and old buildings.
I'm leaving for that place tomorrow (or rather, today).
See y'all on Tuesday.

Lol

I discovered a funny in my inbox today.
If you can remember, I posted the maths clock a while ago and told Nut that it'll give her something to do. And it did.

I'm trying to figure out "9" too. Why's there a minus and a multiply (the dot) next to each other?

Nut told me that we're leaving at 6AM on Sunday.
I yawn thinking about it.
