Rye-bread + Evill + SJ = Loons on crack

Got a phone call at 12PM today.
For some reason, I completely overslept my alarm clock.
It was Rye-bread.
"Are you still ASLEEP!?"
"urk.. Yeah?"
"SJ's coming to get me already"
"OK"
...
They arrived about two hours later.
We went to Kinokuniya where I picked up Are You Alice Vol.1 and 2 along with Togainu no Chi Vol.1.
The joy of holding books in your hand surpasses all forms of material joy.
I also decided to throw the Lamento artbook into reservation.
Rye-bread discovered Trinity Blood (published by CY) and bought 5 volumes. That is hardcore.
SJ FINALLY got her Junjou Romantica Vol.13 and Kuroshitsuji.
Then, we travelled to 1Utama where I popped in on Nut working.
She's currently holding the job I had in 2007.
After that, we settled into Zanmai Sushi where we ate and looned more.
Then Rye-bread bought a deck of Monopoly cards while SJ was buying another book.
We returned home and while transferring all the wanted files into each other's drives, we played the Monopoly game which turned out to be more fun than expected.
We were screaming at each other.
Like, REALLY screaming. If we were the rough, tough, rumble and tumble type, we would have gotten into physical fights (in a good, fun way) over the damn action cards that allowed players to steal WHOLE sets of property, force swap property or steal any property.
One of SJ's action cards said that she can demand money from all players.
She thought it was just one player so she turned to me and said "2 million, BITCH!~"
Then she decided to re-read the damn card and said "Oh, I mean, bitches"
-_-"
Yes. We weren't only screaming at each other but were cursing as well.
That is how we roll as business people!

Anyway, it was a fun day.
I enjoyed it lots!!
:D

An expression of gratitude?

I've always felt this way ever since 2007..

I had a fantastic teacher in my foundation classes that taught us drawing and all the details and technicalities that will improve one's drawing.
It was probably our second class in our second semester, when he came in and announced that we were going to be drawing our own portraits.
He then taught us the symmetry of a person's face/body.
How your foot is always the same length as your forearm (elbow to wrist) and all of that.
The corners of lips are usually right below the middle of each eye.
The space between both eyes is an eye.
Your ears starts on the same line as your eyes.
The nose fits right between the eyes.
Until today, every time I doodle for fun, I always end up thinking about everything that was taught and I will always inadvertently try to stick to it.

Perhaps it isn't such a good thing that I allow such 'rules' to dictate my drawing but I find that it works for me...

And I suppose that will be the ONE class that I will always thank the powers that Be for.

If you don't play Phoenix Wright on DS, stop reading.

Rye-bread and I were arguing over who was dramatic for she accused me of being so.
Somehow, someway, somewhere (on Twitter, actually).. we started debating in the style of Ace Attorney. Complete with the catchphrases.

twixt_arcana
yes u ARE dramatic. :D

yukirye
*gasps in horror* Objection! That's a total lie.

twixt_arcana
objection overruled~

yukirye
and on what basis do you say that? You aren't the judge. Tsk tsk tsk. Where's the evidence?

twixt_arcana
*presents chat history/fb history/twitter history* TAKE THAT!

yukirye
http://bit.ly/cMMQcg Urk! (Link was to a GIF image of Miles Edgeworth doing his "URK" movement)

twixt_arcana
is that a response to the evidence that i have presented? if so, *points accusingly at you* then you are GUILTY of being dramatic!

yukirye
No. That is just the damaged response. You still have not won! Tsk tsk tsk.. Take that! *presents personality report*

yukirye
It says introverted! Those who are introverted are generally not dramatic at all!

twixt_arcana
Gaaah! (Where did he get that?) How can you prove that the report is the truth? Perhaps you aren't really introverted?

yukirye
Tsk tsk tsk.. http://bit.ly/9ciLeQ This is a 16PF report based on real scale and real scoring done by accredited Psychologist!

twixt_arcana
(G-G-GAH! I have no idea what he is talking about) ...

twixt_arcana
If this report is crucial to the case, why wasn't it presented at the beginning of the trial??

yukirye
The reason is due to P&C.It should not be revealed until the situation requires it. At the current moment, it does. TAKE THAT!

twixt_arcana
... Your Honor, the defence requests that the trial be suspended until tomorrow.. (Why don't I have anything to fight back?)

yukirye
*smirks* Judge: Court adjourned. We shall continue tomorrow.

twixt_arcana
Judge: Do you have anything more to say? Me: ...No, Your Honor (I will get you for this!)

yukirye
heh

Right.
And I now declare Rye-bread and I officially.... INSANE!

Okay. Tagbox taken down.
I cannot stand those strange messages anymore.
Wanna say something? Do it in the comments section.
That's what they're there for.

And dear, MIKE-of-the-tagbox, you did not give me 'traffic' and NO, I won't hit you back. But I WILL hit you if you will show your face.

Imaginations on a highway

Rye-chan and I have been talking.
We think it'll be perfect to have a school full of all the gorgeous men in our anime and manga.
That way, the motivation to go to school will be twice as strong.
However, the motivation to fail all tests also become stronger for there is NO way you'd want to graduate that school. EVER.

Here's what we have so far...

Principal: Rufus (FFVII)
Secretary: Mookyul (Totally Captivated)
Head of Discipline: Tseng (FFVII)
Assistant to the above: Elena (FFVII)
The people who enforce the rules: Rude, Reno (FFVII), Gunji, Kiriwar (Togainu no Chi)
School Doctor: Watari (Yami no Matsuei)
Person in charge of cafeteria: Dante (Devil May Cry)

English: Gackt (Subject to change for he is a real person)
Chinese: Fei Long (Viewfinder)
Japanese: Oriya (Yami no Matsuei)
General Science: Toshiya (Subject to change for he is a real person)
Chemistry: Asami (Viewfinder)
Biology: Hatori (Fruits Basket)
Physics: Kuja (FFIX)
Art: Soubi (Loveless)
Maths: Sephiroth (FFVII)
Music: Nanjo Koji (Zetsuai/Bronze)
Accounts: Tatsumi (Yami no Matsuei)
Moral: L (Deathnote)
Literature: Usami Akihito (Junjou Romantica)
Business Studies: Kanou (Okane ga Nai)
Economics: Kyoya Hatori (Ouran High School Host Club)
Law: Ewon/FoxJung (Totally Captivated)
P.E: Zack (FFVII)

Then we invented a few of our own subjects..
(Psychology subjects overload because of Rye-chan)

Martial Arts: Shiki (Togainu no Chi)
Cognitive Psychology: Professor Layton
Criminal Psychology: Akabane (GetBackers)
Forensic Psychology: Muraki (Yami no Matsuei)
Personality Psychology: Arbitro (Togainu no Chi)
Sewing: Kazuki

And oh yeah...
School Directors: EVILL & RYE-CHAN

Some of the choices will be very obvious to some.. note that we chose with a hint of irony.
While some are inside jokes that you'll have to know to understand.

Rye-chan, don't forget to replace Toshiya and Gackt with 2D guys.
And to think up more subjects.
While I try to add in more design elements. XD

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Rye-chan linked me to this.
I really want Shiki and Arbitro. :D

I question our ability to create intelligent conversation

Rye-chan and I on Twitter again.

CY: Hmmm Asami in glasses and lab coat.. I think he would make an intimidating science teacher

LL: yes that is HOT. takaba as a student~! :D

CY: oppps... hahahah don't startttt =P How abt Gackt? I think he would make a good PE teacher. HAHA

LL: no.. gackt will make a good language teacher cuz that'll mean he'll speak alot. his voice is awesome.

CY: hahahahaha Hyde?

LL: that's for sj to fantasize... LOL

CY: LOL. Sephy?XD

LL: SEPHY... can be my math teacher. only he can make math equations sexy. i might just pass.. XD

CY: LOL. *cough* If u say soooooXD

LL: but just imagine sephy reciting linear equations. *nosebleed*

CY: as well as detention, after u attempted to fail his class........

LL: I KNOW. i won't attempt, I WILL. but maths with sephy will b dangerously sexy. u'd never know when he'd bring masamune as a ruler.

CY: but really, what u wanna do in detention, keep in within u. u dun need to share. REALLY. NO NEED

LL: hahaha dont worry. i wasn't planning on sharing ^_~. detention with sephy might end in my death.

Like I said.
No intelligent conversation.
And they call us 'intelligent life-forms'.
Meh.
They should change it to 'creative life-forms'.

So here goes nothing...

[BEWARE: Angry post ahead]

IF THAT WOMAN THINKS THAT SHE CAN JUST DISPOSE OF MY TOYS, SHE'S GOT ANOTHER THING COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday, after finally entering my room after a week, I went up to see if everything was in order and LO, it wasn't.
Strike Freedom's sword was nowhere to be found.
Searched, I did. Up and down, in and out. It was nowhere.
My aunt did not use the portion of the table his sword was on.
I did not touch it so it must BE HER!

WHAT IS A GUNDAM WITHOUT ITS SWORD!?

I'm royally pissed off right now.

And I forgot to mention...

... Rye-chan is indeed special.
I'm usually told "OK. Don't die of blood-loss"
.... she said "Don't die of anemia"
GEEK! GEEK!

Ooh. I'm finally regained balance and footing on the cliff-of-patience.

And I got my room back. :D

Tell me, tell me... baby

Lately, while doing my work late at night... I play N'Sync to soothe me.
No, really.
Particularly their slow songs.
While I like every single song that they have ever recorded, my least favourite song is Bye Bye Bye. Which is kinda strange considering people say "Bye Bye Bye" every time you mention N'Sync.
Other songs I really love is "That's When I'll Stop Loving You", "For The Girl Who Has Everything".... and etc.
Nice.
Even my sister was singing along.
It was like impromptu karaoke.

Troubling times

Rye-chan said "I think your tag box is a magnet for weird messages" over Twitter.

And I agree.

So, I'm not gonna give a rat's arse about it and just leave 'em be.
If anybody has a sudden attack of Trojans upon landing on this page let everybody know.
Then I'll do something about it.

For the past week, I've had my patience wrung dry.
I'm hanging on for dear life off the cliff-of-patience.
A few more days, a few more days, a few more days.

Another troubling thing that has happened recently is the new Devil May Cry 5 trailer.
Now, I really don't want to judge it prematurely before seeing more or getting more information but I couldn't help but feel slightly miffed at the fact that Dante is now a pubescent, dark haired - and possibly emo - boy.
Like I've said before, geeks don't care much for character change.
Change the story-line, improve the graphics and sound, change the gameplay.. it might bring complains but a character change will bring riots (especially if the character is a very established character, like Dante).

And if you want to do something different, go down the route that Metal Gear Solid took when they created the part where Raiden's clothes go missing and he had to prance around and fight with his hands covering his dignity.
I would cheer that choice all the way.

I quite literally had a silent hissy-fit after the boy answered "Dante" at the end of the trailer to a the question "What's your name?" that was said at the beginning.
There was mime-table banging, mime-hair pulling as well as mime-crying/screaming.
It was late.

And I really like Dante.

Floral frenzy

Spent the day painting flowers.
Digitally, of course. My water colours are probably dried up beyond recognition.

Anyway.. this was the result.

Note: I only painted it. I wanted to draw a bouquet but apparently, time was running short so I figured it'll be easier to actually just copy some flowers on the internet and paint them. I do not know who's photograph I copied but I'll state this here and now that those flowers did not bloom from my creativity.

When there is three daughters..

Growing up as the youngest of three sisters, I've always known that there is a stark difference between all of us.
The oldest is practical, sensible, smart and always able to think with rationale. Generous, forgiving but occasionally stern.. (and scary).
The second one, mischievious, cheeky, a little too active with a mind that should probably calm the heck down. Bosses the younger one and constantly argues with the older one.
The last one... is probably just a weird little lump of flesh that has the God-given ability to piss everybody else off. Thoughts are not quite discernable with the mental ability to wander without moving the body.

The relationship that I share with them both differ.

For example, while swimming, I slipped and scraped my knee on some sand that was in the pool. I got out and it started to bleed so I was upset and refused to go back in because it hurt. My oldest sister got out and put a plaster on me. A green plaster with ducks on it. It was her only one and she was just showing it to me telling me how cute she found it. And I cheered up. And she did it to cheer me up because she knew I liked ducks.
Compare that to... my second sister.
When she told me I could fly.
And after I cracked my skull open and was parading around with stitches on my forehead... she said "I can see your brains coming out".

-___-"

I always thought it was just us that were this way.
But no.
Looking at shows with three young girls, that is usually how they are portrayed.
The second one terrorises the youngest and the oldest is more mature.

But that doesn't mean that the oldest is a complete and total saint.
Till now, my oldest sister still laughs at me for freaking out over my phone ringing after watching a horror movie.
And it also doesn't mean that the second is a total and complete demon.
She's the one who acknowledges Ivan's different mood swings despite the fact that she can't see it.

But I do wonder, sometimes, why is it that that is the typical depiction of three sisters?

I just discovered....

Muraki Kazutaka shares the same seiyu as Nanjo Koji!
They're both psycho, silver haired men!
(And are both unhealthily obsessed with another guy)

Hayami Shou~

He is also Ginias Saharin from Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team

AND... Oda Nobunaga from Samurai Deeper Kyo!

And he voices Akechi Mitsuhide in Sengoku Basara and Izuma Rutsu in Phantasy Star Universe.
♥ ♥ ♥

Not to mention he voiced several characters in the Transformers series.
His voice can bring world peace. I swear.
I would rate him with Koyasu Takehito (♥!)

Not enough hearts to go round in this post.

All that talk...

... about Yami no Matsuei between Rye-chan and I over the past few days prompted my urge to re-read the manga. From the beginning.
While Muraki obviously distracted my attention for about 90% of the story.. a good 10% of it was taken up by Volume 11.
In this volume, Tatsumi and Watari are in Hisoka's birthplace and house.

That scene with Hisoka's father, Nagare, writhing sexily moving painfully in the room...
Was it a sex scene??
Or was that damn snake just.. inflicting physical harm of a non-sexual nature?

Me memory does not serve me well when it needs to and I swear I have forgotten about that part.
And now, I'm confused.
They don't really say what's going on.
And the snake doesn't exactly go say anything that will imply the nature of his actions.
In fact, all Nagare does is show a really pained expression.. but at times, that expression seems dubious..
It could be.. or it couldn't.

Wild Psyduck used Confusion!
It's super effective!
Lydia is confused!

So a numerological happening is taking place.. tomorrow.
What is everybody gonna do at 10:10AM on the 10th of October 2010?
All I know is, many people are gonna be getting married and, judging from today's F1 qualifying or lack thereof, I'll be watching the qualifying tomorrow.

The qualifying was to have started at 1PM here.
I actually bothered to disturb my peaceful slumber for it. (Okay, I lied. I was dreaming something horrible and it wasn't so much a disturbance as it was a relieve)
I woke up and waited. Until 2:30PM when they announced that it is going to be postponed till 10AM tomorrow.
D:
BUT.. I liked the spur-of-the-moment boat race that took place in the pits.
I heard that the Lotus boat wasn't even moving and that got me so amused it was enough to forgive Japan's infernal rain.

Thursday, October 07, 2010

I want to make a necklace out of that round thing he's holding.
(Round thing because I don't know what it's called D:)
It's from Tron. And they throw it like a deadly frisbee.. except you're not to catch it but dodge it.
It'll be cool if it hung on a chain around my neck.. smaller of course.

If

If I were to take romance novels as historical fact from a sociological perspective... I was definitely born a few hundred years TOO LATE.

Yes. I have perhaps read one too many... I read two... in the past week.
In the past, I've read more.

Notice how in romance novels, all the guys have rakishly good looks?
All of them have a set of straight whites that will blind you in the middle of the night? Despite the lack of proper orthodontic care back in those days?
And also, notice how everybody seems to be a Duke or an Earl or a Baron or what have you? From the looks of it, being of noble birth is almost as common as all the Datuks running around in our country today.

And also, notice how, for virgins, these girls just take to sex as easily as they would to walking?
XD All 'first-time' awkwardness do not exist for the lust is simply too much for them to bother about the fact that they've never done it before!

How perfect.

I should've been born then :(

I was listening to Kojo no Tsuji by Rentarou Taki.
If you like traditional Japanese music played by traditional Japanese instruments, please listen to this song.
It brings tears to your eyes.
It is so beautiful and knowing what the name means and the inspiration for this song makes it all the more so.
"Kojo" 荒城 means 'ruined castle' and "Tsuki" 月 means moon.
I can't translate it exactly but I've seen it translated as "Moon over the ruined castle" which isn't 100%. Literally, it means "The ruined castle's moon".
The 'ruined castle' that is referred to in this song is the Oka Castle 「岡城」
This castle was last inhabited by the Nakagawa Clan 「中川」 until 1871 and was built by the Ogata Clan 「緒方」 in 1185.
It is now nothing but ruins.

The song sounds sad.
Discovering that the said castle is nothing but a pile of arranged rocks covered by years of foliage, further enhanced the somber/sad mood of the music.
As a person who mourns the passing of great buildings, it gets to me.

[Warning: Is slow]

Need biceps?

Lift some weights with my art textbook.

A whole millenia of art is packed in it and weighs more than a bag of rice.

I referred to it for my gallery project yesterday and had to carry it in front of my computer.
I swear I'm not exaggerating when I say my arms ached.

Yes. I'm not fit.

As much as...

... people think me the 'spawn of evil' due to all various 'satanic' interests, I must say that there is a little known fact about me..

I ♥ N'SYNC

Oh. What? You already knew?

Of course you would've known. I talk about it all the time because there is nothing more that I want then for them to get the hell back together!

Nowadays, I inflict abuse upon my ears in the form of metal music and the like and I openly dislike all form of pop music... In fact, I find it sad sometimes how people rave on and on about how 'talented' some of these 'singers' are these days.
But, I used to be 12 myself once upon a time and I still genuinely like N'Sync.
They might not have been the best singers or the best dancers or the best performers in people's opinion but till this day, they are the only group/band that I like every single song on every single album (except their Christmas album).

Why is it that Backstreet Boys, Take That and Boyzone can get back together successfully and N'Sync hasn't done it?
:(

Ouch. I screwed up 69% of my time in school, huh.
[NOTE: Got this from my brother. I got a 69, he got a 96. I'm not that bad]

(There was actually 5 more things before where I started but since I didn't do any of that, I just took it off)
Was surfing the YouTube wave the other day and came across a video titled 'Powerglove - Tetris'.
Curious, and because Tetris is one of my many favourites, I clicked it into queue.
(You know how you can have playlists on YouTube? That was the queue)
So I was just going about my business when all of a sudden, the original Tetris tune came on and I thought to myself "What's so special about this?" when all of a sudden, the wails of a guitar and the beat of a drummer posessed came on and it was Tetris alright, but metal-ised.
I literally leaped up in my chair like a meerkat and listened intently.
I then proceeded to get all three albums of theirs and may I say, they did the PERFECT rendition of the Heffalump song from Winnie the Pooh.

Yesterday night, my sister and I watched Studio Ghibli's The Cat Returns.
I like that show.
I really do.
I like Muta.
I want a fat white cat now.
And the Cat King's messenger looked like Mametchi from Tamagochi... so we kept calling it The Mametchi Cat. I'm not too sure what his name is now but he was creepy as HECK.
And I might just be in love with Baron... A CAT.

Now all I want is to watch Yami no Matsuei. Haven't watched it in ages and I kinda miss Muraki's psychotic reasonings.

true! hahha I was thinking about you today. I feel like do a post dedicated to you on Sephy transition from polygonal blocks to current! hahahaXD
This is to remind me that Rye-chan once said this.
And I'm looking forward to the Sephiroth post.
Truth is, he was hot even as polygonal blocks!

So there's this OTHER thing that I want.
Storm Trooper Hoodie!
Lalala~

I found Sakuma Drops today.
Was nomming on it in the evening before I fell asleep.
