And then I realised I forgot to check my phone the entire day and I get up to get it and I find a text message from my bestie buddy (who shouldn't tell me some things sometimes, you'll understand why in a while) that was sent at 10 something PM.
It read:
"WHAT DID TOSHIYA DO TO HIS HAIR?!? HOLY COW! Have u seen it?"
What am I supposed to deduce from that?
Toshiya does tons of things to his hair! Dying it blond, dying it blue, cutting it into a bob, curling it, straightening it, dying it brown, cutting it short etc. He does alot of things. But something about this message screams "OH MY GOSH" so I decided to check online and I ventured into the LiveJournal community that I've long forgotten due to never-ending fanfights about something or another. And I see a post titled 'dir en grey' and realise it's pictures so I check it out.
And there's two pictures, both with Die and Kaoru. One of them with another person and the other one with two other people with facial hair and all that stuff.
So, I'm staring and I can't seem to find Toshiya but everybody was commenting ON Toshiya. I could not locate him at all.
Then, I called the 'all-knowing' SJ and asked "What exactly DID he do with his hair? Cause I'm looking at a picture and I have no idea who is Toshiya but people are talking about his hairdo?"
And SJ says the worst line ever delivered to me aside from that 6AM call telling me he's back. She said "He shaved off the left side of his hair" in this deadpan manner.
I urgently scrolled up to the first picture and stared at the third guy for awhile and then I started screaming into the phone. For example, "WHAT THE FXCK IS THAT?!?!" and "I COULDN'T EVEN RECOGNISE HIM!!!!!!!!!" and etc.
And I continued to be shocked and surprised for the next half an hour or so.
She then tells me to watch the video, presumably to freak me out even more. As if a still photo isn't enough, she makes me watch the hairdo in action.
And watch it, I did.. when Toshiya appears on screen I pause the video and a fresh string of shocked curses find it's way out of my mouth.
That was about an hour ago.
I hung up because all the shock and surprise made me hungry for hot dogs.
(That and I watched a movie where the protagonist eats a hot dog before that)
Then I went down and yelled at the ladies of my family "DO YOU KNOW WHAT TOSHIYA DID TO HIS HAIR?!?!?!" and you know what, they knew. Thanks to my non-stop yelling.

This is after. Ignore Kyo in the front and focus on the half bald guy behind.It's not THAT bad after a second/third/fourth look at the video. In fact, I guess it's quite cool.
But I get this feeling he's trying to pull a Marilyn Manson on us here. I mean, that outfit and the hair? Screams Manson to me.
I told SJ "Did you know that I think his hair is sexy?"
She says "You do?"
I said "Yes. One of my fantasies is to run my hands through his hair."
She says "Well, at least ONE hand can still run through his hair."
I replied "No. I want BOTH to run through. Not one to run through hair and the other to run by head"
His head looks shiny.
